THIS MONTH’S MEETING

We had a great time with Henry Lovoy as our speaker last month. He gave us an update on what he and the other members of Razz Ma Tazz are currently doing. During December the band will be playing at various venues across the area including The Central Club, Mad Pies, Overtime Bar & Grill and Beef O’Brady’s. To hear one of Birmingham’s best bands just check out their Facebook page for more info. https://www.facebook.com/TheRazzMaTazzBand/ Thanks for being with us, Henry.

This month will be our Christmas celebration. We will play our Dirty Santa game as we have done for a long time now. To participate just bring a wrapped gift in the range of $10 or so and join in. If you prefer just to just drop in, converse about music and things but not play, come on. And don’t forget our ‘Free For All’. With the giving spirit in the air, you can bring those vinyl records, CD’s and DVD’s for everyone to browse through and take what they want for free. Less stuff at your house! Hope to see you there.

2023 CLUB MEETING DATES

The library where we meet now has a policy where we can only reserve a room 6 months at a time. Here are the upcoming dates for the first half of 2023. All meetings are scheduled to be in our regular room, 101. Meeting starts at 2:00 PM.

January 8th, February 12th, March 12th, April 2nd, May 7th, June 11th.

BRC RADIO

Check out our latest radio shows or what some people call podcasts I believe at birminghamrecord.com. Click on ‘RADIO’ and listen to some long-lost music and even some new sounds. There is a wide variety of music now that we have 4 hosts doing shows which provide a wide-range of musical genres.

NEWSLETTER

Sorry for such an abbreviated newsletter but that the way it is this month. It has been a wild ride for me the last 5-6 weeks but things are looking up. Talk to you next month.  But here is some Christmas music for your enjoyment.  A few you may know and some you may not.

‘The Christmas Song’

The Raveonettes
The Chesterfield Kings

The Tractors

Darlene Love

Stevie Nicks

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  And don’t forget the REASON for the season, the birth of Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior.

See ya,

Charlie
